Since Nov 1st, I've come a long way! :) I love walking all the time now and prefer it over crawling. Here are two videos of me shot on Nov 13th and Nov 16th.

When I last left you, I was taking my first consistent steps! :) Mommy finally shot a good video of me 2 days later (Nov 1st) taking many steps in a row.

More Chair Fun
Not only have I learned all those other tricks, I also figured out some new tricks with my chair. :) Mommy's not too thrilled about the second trick, especially since now I can reach her computer and plates!

Eating with Utensils
Walking isn't the only thing I've been working on this month - I've learned lots of new tricks! I learned how to sign "please" (well, kind of - I just stick my finger in my mouth.) I learned how to bounce on the bed, push the doorbell, set the alarm off in Mommy's car, flick the light switches on and off, open all the kitchen drawers and cabinet doors, and pull magnets off the fridge to name a few.
One of the things I'm proudest of is learning how to eat with utensils! I won't eat a meal until I have my own utensil and now I can even get it consistently in my mouth. :) Here are two videos showing how I use a fork.

Walking!!!
Tonight, I took 7 steps in a row!! Mommy and Daddy were so shocked, they didn't get a chance to take a video! Afterwards, they kept trying to set me up to do it again, but I don't do repeat performances on demand. :)
Here's a failed attempt at a video. :)

I faked daddy out!
Daddy was trying to block me from the kitchen. I tried to go around him to the right, and he moved in front of me. I tried to go around him to the left, and he moved in front of me. So then I deked right and went left, and daddy nearly flew out of his skates... well, that is if we were playing hockey. Daddy wasn't really wearing ice skates.

One Year Old!!!
Today, I am 1 year old!!! Mommy and Daddy keep saying "Happy Birthday" to me, but I don't really understand what it's all about. :) Mommy also made a big deal on Tuesday, because she said I took my first step. Plus, she thinks I just dropped my morning nap, since I haven't taken it since Sunday!
Here's a picture of me and my cake. The candle looks so pretty!
Mommy and Daddy let me eat some of it! I've never tasted something so good!

Moving Furniture
Hi :) I've finally returned from my travels to Dallas and the East Bay. It was lots of fun seeing all the grandparents and aunties and uncle. :) While on my trips, I got to eat alot of yummy food cooked just for me and I showed off all my new skills including balancing, trying to walk, and learning how to go down the stairs backwards. After I got back, I picked up a few more including how to put my bottle caps back on the bottle and put the rings back on the ring stack. My latest adventures include moving furniture all around the house. :) Here's a video of me moving my chair...

Happy 10th to Me!
Hello :) I turned 10 months old yesterday! This week has been full of lots of fun and new experiences for me. On Tuesday, I went swimming for the first time. At first I was scared because the water was so cold, but then I got used to it and I loved splashing around. On Thursday, I went on a playdate with my friend, Isabel, and we went on the swings (my 3rd time ever!) Isabel and I had almost the same due date, but she was born premature, so she is a bit older than me. On Friday, I went to the Boston Children's Museum and discovered their infant toddler playroom with aquarium. (My favorite were the tiny tropical fish.) On Saturday, I went to Portsmouth, NH and went to the beach for the first time. The sand was so fine - I loved the feel of it on my hands and feet (and in my mouth too - though Mommy didn't like that too much!)
Mommy hasn't had time to upload all those pictures yet, but tie you over, she has three swinging videos of me laughing and playing with Isabel.

Cruising and Balloons
It's been awhile since my last video update, so I thought I'd post a couple here today. :)
The first is me surfing on our living room furniture on 7/22/09.
The second is me playing with a balloon on Friday with Daddy.

A Week of Firsts
Today, I am 9.5 months old! This week has been full of firsts for me! It's so much easier to get things that I see and I love playing with my friends and my Mommy and Daddy. Sorry for the lack of videos and pictures, Mommy and Daddy are forgetful!
- On Monday, I was so eager to pull up to the dining table and reach Mommy that I tripped and fell into the table and cut my lip with my new tooth! :(
- On Tuesday, I went to the park with Mommy and Daddy and they introduced me to the swing! I love it and can't help but laugh every time I go higher.
- On Wednesday, I learned how to drink out of a cup by myself without spilling it down my bib. :)

More teeth!
This past weekend, Daddy & Mommy were arguing about whether my top teeth were coming in. Daddy kept saying he could feel them and Mommy kept saying that they were just white spots on my gums, because she couldn't feel them. :p Well, Daddy was right!! I could have told them that though, because I was chewing on everything I could get my hands on. On Tuesday, Mommy finally agreed that my tooth had come out. :) It's strange to rub my top and bottom teeth together though. They make squeaky sounds!

Pulling Up at Night!
I've been so excited by my new skill that I've been pulling up in the middle of the night! On Monday night, I woke up and decided to practice. I pulled myself up and hung onto the crib railing. Unfortunately, I couldn't get back down and got stuck there. I started crying, but nobody came to rescue me, probably because Mommy and Daddy want me to learn to go to sleep without needing their soothing. I finally just started whimpering, because I didn't know what to do. After a few more minutes, Mommy came in and helped me to lie back down. Mommy and Daddy said that they felt really sad that I got myself stuck and that they will teach me how to lie back down myself. :)

Pulling Up
Hello! Today, I finally accomplished what I've been trying to do for weeks! I pulled myself completely up from the ground to my stool, then from the stool, I pulled myself to the top of the desk, then climbed on top of the stool to pull my toy off the top of the desk! :) Earlier today, I also figured out how to pull myself up and stand up in my crib and my play pen. Mommy is really scared now! :)

Learning to Crawl
It's been awhile since my last post and I've learned so many new things since then! :) Before I left for Dallas in mid-May, I started learning how to move from one spot. At first, I could only push myself up on my arms and push myself backwards. Then, at the beginning of June, while I was in California, PoPo helped me learn how to push off on my feet and inch forward on my stomach. A day later, Gong Gong taught me how to stand by myself in my playpen while holding on to the side. By the time we returned home in the middle of June, I had finally learned how to crawl on both hands and feet. (Although, when I get impatient, I still fall on my stomach and go back to the army/stomach crawl.) Last week, I learned how to pull myself up on myself on different pieces of furniture. Last night, Daddy and Mommy realized it was really time to babyproof everything and they put up a safety gate for me in the kitchen.
Here's a video from today that shows off all my new skills! :) (And yes, I'm going for the wall outlets!)

Mobile Escapades
Yesterday, Mommy put me down for my afternoon nap and after 1 minute of fussing, I got very quiet. When Mommy turned on the monitor, she suddenly heard my mobile music! Daddy had been trying to teach me which button to press, but I never hit the right one until now. :) I finally learned how to turn it on all by myself. Poor Mommy keeps telling me that now she has to take my mobile away when I nap! :)

My First Peach
Today, Mommy let me feed a peach to myself, but I didn't quite know how to eat it! Later, when Mommy tried my peach, she realized it was super sour!!

First Tooth!
My first tooth came out today! This morning I woke up at 5:30 am, crying at the top of my lungs and Mommy and Daddy couldn't figuret out what was wrong. Finally, after a whole morning of fitful naps, Mommy let me chew on her finger, and she felt my first tooth. I won't really let her see it very easily, so no picture yet!

Happy 6 Month to Me!
Hello :) it's been a long time! I went to California last week for my 6 month birthday and experienced my first plane flight! Mommy said I was a good boy, because I slept for half of each flight which made life alot easier for Mommy and Daddy. Also, I didn't cry at all on the plane! (Only before getting on the plane in Boston, I got scared of the hand dryer in the bathroom and couldn't stop crying...) All the other passengers said I was such a good boy. On my 6 month birthday, I decided to give Mommy and Daddy a gift! I finally learned how to roll over from my back to front, and now I can't stop. Mommy has been trying to get me on video, but I don't like to perform on cue. :p Here's one that Uncle Michael took of me after I already rolled over once. Unfortunately, I was too tired to roll over a second time...
Oh - and I also learned how to stick out my tongue! Here's me with Auntie Jenn. (That's eczema on my face, btw.)

Eating!
It's been awhile, life has been hectic! Mommy was going to work in February, but it was so busy at work, so busy at home, she finally decided that she was going to stay home with me... yay! To commemorate being at home, she decided to help me upload this video of me trying my first bite of rice cereal on February 10th...

Success!
Yesterday morning, while daddy was playing with me, he put me down on my front so I could get some tummy time. I decided I wanted to be adventurous and practice some of the moves mommy showed me the day before. So I lifted a leg and arm, felt a big rush, and suddenly found myself on my back! Daddy seemed totally caught off guard and surprised, because he immediately put me back on my front as if to say that he didn't believe that I really rolled over by myself. So just to prove him wrong, I did it again!
Later when mommy came by, daddy put me on my front again, but by that time I was too tired. Rolling over is hard work! Maybe I'll roll over for mommy some other time.

Playing with my Hands
Thanks for all the well-wishes! I feel much better now, though I still have a slight cough and a stuffy nose... I've also discovered that if I cry in the middle of my night because my nose is stuffed, Daddy will come and suck all the stuff out of my nose. Since I haven't posted in awhile, I thought I'd share two videos with everyone. The first of me sitting in a chair doing nothing much, but my hair is all static-y.
The second is of me waking up and touching the sofa.. since I discovered my hands, I LOVE feeling the wall and anything else I can get my hands on..

Wheezing
Today, I went to the doctor's because I had a bad cough and had started wheezing. :( Unfortunately, my doctor said that I have RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), so she prescribed me a nebulizer and I have to take some medicine to help my breathing. Thankfully, after I breathed in the medicine, I was able to both sleep and cough better.

Pre-Rolling
After being rolled over by Daddy, I can now pull my hand free easily!! Next step - Rolling!
Also, to Mommy and Daddy's delight, I slept from 10:30pm to 5:45 am straight! After that, I went back to sleep until 8am... I think Mommy and Daddy were very very happy to finally get some rest! Hopefully, I'll keep sleeping like this...
